This policy explains which products, services, and content may not be listed, sold, promoted, or facilitated on BazaarCo, and which categories may only be offered under limited conditions.
This policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Product Listing Rules, Age Verification & Legal Capacity Policy, Intellectual Property Policy, and Seller Policy.
1. Purpose
BazaarCo is a marketplace and not every product or service may lawfully or safely be offered through it.
To protect Buyers, Sellers, the public, and the Platform, BazaarCo:
- prohibits certain categories entirely;
- restricts certain categories to approved or legally compliant Sellers only; and
- reserves the right to remove, block, or refuse any listing that creates legal, safety, fraud, or consumer-protection risk.
2. How This Policy Works
Products fall into three broad groups:
- Prohibited products: cannot be listed, sold, promoted, or facilitated on BazaarCo at all.
- Restricted products: may only be listed if all applicable legal, age, licensing, disclosure, and BazaarCo approval requirements are satisfied.
- Review-required products: items BazaarCo may allow, restrict, or remove depending on risk, category rules, evolving law, or operational controls.
If there is any doubt, Sellers should assume the product is not allowed until BazaarCo confirms otherwise.
3. Absolutely Prohibited Products
The following categories are generally prohibited on BazaarCo:
A. Illegal, Criminal, or Dangerous Products
- illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances;
- drug paraphernalia primarily intended for unlawful use;
- explosives, bombs, grenades, ammunition, and similar destructive materials;
- firearms or other weapons where sale is unlawful or not supported by BazaarCo policy;
- stolen goods or goods obtained through unlawful means;
- counterfeit currency, forged documents, or fraudulent certificates; and
- products or services primarily intended to facilitate crime, hacking, fraud, or identity abuse.
B. Counterfeit, Replica, Pirated, and Infringing Goods
- fake-branded or counterfeit products;
- deceptive replicas or imitation goods that infringe intellectual property rights;
- pirated software, media, or digital content;
- unauthorized license keys or cracked digital products; and
- listings that materially infringe trademark, copyright, patent, design, or other intellectual property rights.
C. Unlawful, Unsafe, or Unapproved Regulated Goods
- banned, recalled, or unsafe products;
- medicines, health products, or controlled items offered unlawfully or without required approval;
- illegally imported or smuggled goods;
- hazardous substances or chemicals that cannot lawfully be sold through the Platform; and
- products whose distribution is prohibited by law, regulator action, recall, or public-safety directive.
D. Wildlife, Human Exploitation, and Protected Materials
- endangered wildlife, wildlife parts, or protected species products;
- ivory, rhino horn, tiger or leopard products, or other protected-animal derivatives;
- human organs, human remains, or exploitative biological materials;
- products linked to child abuse, forced exploitation, or trafficking; and
- any listing promoting violence against children or vulnerable persons.
E. Offensive, Obscene, or Abusive Material
- pornography or sexually explicit goods where unlawful or inconsistent with BazaarCo policy;
- obscene or abusive materials prohibited by law;
- hateful, extremist, or violence-inciting content sold as goods or media; and
- products designed primarily to harass, threaten, or harm others unlawfully.
F. Any Other Item Prohibited by Applicable Law or BazaarCo Risk Review
Even if a product is not expressly named above, BazaarCo may prohibit it where it is illegal, unsafe, deceptive, high-risk, or otherwise unsuitable for the Platform.
4. Restricted Products
Some categories may be permitted only if the Seller satisfies all legal and BazaarCo requirements.
These may include, depending on applicable law and BazaarCo approval:
- alcohol and liquor;
- tobacco, nicotine, smoking, or vape-related products;
- certain health, wellness, medicinal, or pharmacy-adjacent goods;
- pesticides, chemicals, or hazardous-use products;
- knives, tools, or regulated equipment;
- imported or regulated electronics and communication devices;
- age-restricted or adult-only goods; and
- any category requiring a license, permit, warning, prescription control, or special delivery restrictions.
For such categories, Sellers may be required to provide one or more of the following:
- business, license, or regulatory documentation;
- proof of lawful sourcing;
- product registration or approval records;
- age-gating and identity-verification compliance;
- category-specific labeling or warning disclosures;
- safe-handling, storage, or delivery arrangements; and
- any other information BazaarCo requests to assess legality or risk.
Approval for one product or listing does not automatically authorize all similar products in that category.
5. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that every listed product:
- is lawful to sell and advertise;
- is accurately described;
- is safe and fit for sale through the Platform;
- complies with all category-specific rules and required disclosures;
- is not counterfeit, infringing, stolen, or smuggled;
- is supported by any required license, permit, registration, or authorization; and
- is not offered to ineligible users such as minors where age restrictions apply.
Sellers must maintain reasonable records supporting legality, authenticity, source, and category compliance.
6. Age-Restricted and High-Risk Categories
Where a category is restricted by age or other legal capacity rules, Sellers must comply with BazaarCo's Age Verification & Legal Capacity Policy.
This may include:
- clear age-restriction labeling;
- restricting the product to eligible users only;
- cooperating with document or identity verification;
- preventing delivery to underage or otherwise ineligible recipients; and
- complying with any additional location, delivery, or payment restrictions imposed by BazaarCo.
7. Content and Listing Restrictions
Even where the underlying product might be lawful, the listing itself may be prohibited if it:
- promotes unlawful use;
- contains deceptive medical, health, safety, or performance claims;
- uses misleading brand or authenticity claims;
- omits mandatory warnings or limitations;
- includes unlawful imagery or instructions;
- solicits off-platform contact or payment for restricted items; or
- otherwise violates BazaarCo's Product Listing Rules or Community Guidelines.
8. Reporting Suspected Violations
Users, rights holders, Buyers, Sellers, and other affected parties may report suspected prohibited or restricted-product violations to BazaarCo.
Reports should include where possible:
- the product or listing link;
- the Store or Seller name;
- a description of the concern;
- supporting screenshots or documents; and
- any known legal, safety, authenticity, or age-restriction issue.

9. BazaarCo Review and Enforcement
BazaarCo may investigate listings or Stores using reports, internal review, transaction data, seller documentation, or other reasonable methods.
Depending on the issue, BazaarCo may:
- request additional information;
- reject, hide, or remove a listing;
- block a category, keyword, or product type;
- limit visibility or marketplace features;
- place payout or account holds;
- cancel affected Orders;
- suspend or terminate Stores or accounts; or
- refer the matter to service providers, regulators, customs, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities where warranted.
BazaarCo may act without prior notice where immediate intervention is reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address serious safety or fraud risks.
10. Repeat and Serious Violations
Serious violations may lead to immediate and strong enforcement, especially where they involve:
- counterfeit or infringing goods;
- illegal drugs or controlled substances;
- dangerous weapons or explosive materials;
- protected wildlife products;
- fraud, forged documentation, or repeat evasion; or
- attempts to relist removed prohibited products.
Repeat violations, even if individually less severe, may also lead to escalating restrictions up to permanent removal from the Platform.
11. No Guarantee of Category Approval
The absence of a category from this policy does not mean the category is automatically allowed.
BazaarCo may update, narrow, expand, or reinterpret category restrictions based on:
- changes in law or regulation;
- safety or abuse trends;
- payment-provider or logistics limitations;
- platform risk review; or
- operational feasibility.
12. Relationship to Law and Other Policies
This policy supplements, and does not replace:
- applicable criminal, customs, consumer-protection, public-health, product-safety, intellectual-property, or other laws;
- BazaarCo's Terms & Conditions;
- BazaarCo's Product Listing Rules; and
- BazaarCo's Intellectual Property Policy.
If law imposes stricter restrictions than this policy, the stricter legal rule prevails.
13. Changes to This Policy
BazaarCo may update this policy from time to time to reflect legal, regulatory, marketplace, or operational changes.
The updated version becomes effective on the date shown at the top of this document.
