This Seller Policy is the public overview of the standards BazaarCo expects from every Seller, Store owner, merchant, brand, distributor, reseller, and other business user selling through the Platform.
The binding contractual terms for sellers are contained in the Seller Agreement, together with the other seller-facing policies referenced below. This page is intended to summarize the key expectations at a high level.
1. Who May Sell on BazaarCo
Sellers may include registered businesses, brands, shops, distributors, resellers, and eligible individual merchants, subject to BazaarCo approval.
To sell on BazaarCo, a Seller must generally:
- be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under Nepal law;
- provide accurate onboarding, contact, payout, and compliance information;
- complete required identity, tax, banking, or business verification;
- be able to fulfill orders reliably; and
- comply with BazaarCo policies and applicable law.
2. Seller Information and Documents
BazaarCo may require Sellers to provide documents or information such as:
- legal or business name;
- contact details and address;
- PAN, VAT, or other tax information where applicable;
- business registration or license details where required;
- bank or payout account information;
- warranty, return, or after-sales details for relevant products; and
- any additional compliance or product documentation BazaarCo reasonably requires.
Sellers must keep this information accurate and current.
3. Seller-Issued Product Invoices
The Seller, not BazaarCo, is the supplier and invoice issuer for Products sold by that Seller through the marketplace.
For every fulfilled suborder, the Seller must:
- issue the legally applicable PAN or VAT sales invoice in the Seller's own legal name;
- ensure the invoice matches the Seller's verified legal and tax information;
- upload the invoice number, issue date, declared PAN or VAT number, and readable PDF through the required BazaarCo workflow before dispatch;
- correct any rejected or inaccurate invoice before continuing fulfillment; and
- include the required physical invoice or copy with the parcel.
BazaarCo may store, review, transmit, and display the Seller-issued invoice without becoming its issuer. BazaarCo may block dispatch or payout where a required Seller invoice is missing or invalid.
4. Listing Standards
Sellers are responsible for the products and content they publish on BazaarCo.
Listings must be:
- accurate, current, and not misleading;
- matched to the actual product, variation, and condition offered;
- properly priced and categorized;
- supported by truthful images, videos, and specifications; and
- compliant with the Product Listing Rules and Prohibited Products Policy.
5. Product Legality and Authenticity
Sellers must sell only products that are lawful, genuine, properly sourced, and suitable for sale on the Platform.
Sellers must not list:
- counterfeit, replica, pirated, stolen, or unlawfully sourced goods;
- prohibited or unlawfully restricted products;
- unsafe, expired, or materially non-compliant products; or
- items that infringe intellectual property or other third-party rights.
For more detail, see the Seller Code of Conduct, Prohibited Products Policy, and Intellectual Property Policy.
6. Order Fulfillment and Delivery Duties
Sellers must fulfill accepted orders responsibly and on time.
This includes:
- maintaining reasonably accurate inventory;
- preparing, packing, and handing over orders within applicable timelines;
- ensuring that the correct item, quantity, and accessories are dispatched; and
- cooperating with BazaarCo or logistics partners on pickup, dispatch, delivery, and return-to-origin handling.
For logistics details, see the Seller Delivery and Pickup Policy.
7. Returns, Refunds, and Buyer Support
Sellers must cooperate with valid return, refund, replacement, exchange, cancellation, warranty, and buyer-protection processes.
Sellers must not deny legitimate buyer remedies in bad faith or obstruct BazaarCo’s review of complaints, disputes, or claims.
Relevant policies include:
8. Reviews, Conduct, and Fair Dealing
Sellers must act honestly and professionally on the Platform.
Sellers must not:
- post fake reviews or manipulate ratings;
- redirect buyers to complete transactions off-platform;
- misuse customer data;
- engage in fraud, collusion, bribery, or sham transactions;
- harass buyers, other sellers, couriers, or BazaarCo staff; or
- use misleading commercial practices.
For conduct rules, see the Seller Code of Conduct and Reviews and Ratings Guidelines.
9. Fees, Payouts, and Deductions
Seller payouts are subject to BazaarCo’s applicable commission structure, operational deductions, refund or chargeback adjustments, and settlement review processes.
The final payout amount may depend on:
- category commission;
- logistics and operational deductions;
- refunds, reversals, and dispute outcomes;
- tax-related adjustments; and
- seller-specific commercial terms.
For more detail, see:
10. BazaarCo’s Rights
To protect buyers, sellers, and marketplace integrity, BazaarCo may:
